Original Medicare is Part A and Part B. Part A helps pay for hospital stays and inpatient care. Part B helps pay for doctor visits and outpatient care.
Medicare Supplement helps pay some or all of the costs not covered by Original Medicare.
Medicare Part D Plan helps pay for Prescription Drugs.
Part C combines Part A (hospital insurance) and Part B (medical insurance) in one plan
Part D plan may include prescription drug coverage

Initial Enrollment Period (IEP) is 7 months long. It includes your 6th Birthday month plus the 3 months before and the 3 months after.
Annual Enrollment Period (AEP) is October 15 through December 7th. During this time you can add, drop or switch your Medicare Advantage or Prescription Drug Coverage.
